Why would we want to do that?
But why not? I think, it's better, than manually tell limit to return nan instead of sin(oo) and cos(oo). Or you have a better solution?
Then we get a numerical result when we could have had a symbolic one.
If I'm not wrong, N() returns symbolic result if it is impossible to return a number.
