This used to be a proprietary paid software, but a reduced version of it has
been released as open source recently.

I had used the trial version of it some years ago, and it's definitely a great
editor. It offers tab completion by code analysis and appears to have some
degree of type inference while writing the code.

The code navigator is awesome, code analysis tools as well.

On their web site they claim there's a plugin to emulate vim commands inside
the editor.

The full version includes advanced tools to debug template engines bound to
Python and some database related stuff, as well as tools for web programming,
anyways these are not needed for SymPy development.

I would recommend to give it a try if you didn't so far, as it is now open
source software.
