Hello! I am Sidharth Mundhra, a sophomore at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and pursuing a minor in Computer Science and Engineering.
I have been a part of a student team that develops an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for over a year, so I have a decent amount of experience actually implementing code in Python and am fairly fluent in it. I have taken courses on Calculus, Linear Algebra at my college, and have gone through an introductory course on Differential Equations as well. I am also going to take a course on Numerical Analysis in the next semester. I have been very interested in coding and also regularly participate in competitive coding contests online, so I have a decent knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms. I have been exposed to symbolic maths through MATLAB which I have used for implementing the control systems in our AUV. I have only used sympy for personal projects so far. I have gone through the tutorials and contribution guidelines. I have been going over the codebase over the past few days and reading some issues, but I haven't been able to identify a good first issue to get me started (I cannot see many recent issues with "Easy to Fix" tag). I have some prior experience with Open Source orgs, but I haven't contributed much yet. I really want to contribute to the Open Source community. It would be a great help if anyone could guide me on issues/features that are good to start with. Looking forward to contributing to this community!
