Asankha I don't think there's anything we can do to speed it up. I will work on the PR side of things and make sure we have a suitable press release ready. Its a shame we can't do the PR at AC, but it won't hurt to have it a week later.
We definitely should try to run the Synapse tutorial based on the RC, so getting the RC by the end of week will be perfect. Paul On 4/26/07, Asankha C. Perera <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Paul The Sandesha2 release will be ready only next week, and Rampart release is going to take even longer. From a testing point of view, the current snapshot code of Rampart does work well with Synapse and is tested, but not the Sandesha2 code (still expecting the Maven2 artifacts). So from an ASF point of view, we would not be able to release Synapse 1.0 in time for ApacheCon EU. However, I am hoping to create a stable RC with updated documentation and tested and updated samples by end of this week. I am afraid this is the best we could do under the circumstances.. do you have any other suggestions? asankha Paul Fremantle wrote: > The reason is that the samples, docs and so forth all assume that this > is shipping together. > > Also we haven't split out the mediators and code that uses Sandesha2 > and Rampart so right now its dependent on having those in the build > path. > > I don't think it actually helps us either because as far as I know you > can't use older versions of Rampart and Sandesha (e.g. 1.1) with Axis2 > 1.2 and therefore Synapse is pretty dependent on Rampart and Sandesha2 > 1.2. > > Paul > > On 4/17/07, Sanjiva Weerawarana <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> I still don't understand why we can't remove the dependency from 1.0. >> Suppose Rampart doesn't release for Axis2 1.2 in time for AC?
