With midasync.fdi in place somewhere in /etc/hal/fdi/ or
/usr/share/hal/fdi/ the midasync-hal code can identify a pre-WM5 device
and its serial port (ttyUSB-something) for further processing with
CLIENT/CLIENTSERVER handshake and PPP connection.

The midasync-bluetooth code publishes a Bluetooth serial port called
MidaSync and handles incoming connections. A serial port is created for
further processing with CLIENT/CLIENTSERVER handshake and PPP connection.

Yes, we need a release Real Soon Now, and then it would be nice to have a
new release for inclusion in the next Ubuntu.

You're right! A shame he spends so much time studying... ;-)
