Hi Guido

Committed your patch with regards to the library functions, I'm sure
what I'm seeing is nothing to do with them.

I've held back the improvements to the synce-registry tool until we
figure out what the problem with rapi1 is, don't want to break it
completely for legacy devices in the meantime.
