Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Binary Installation Group: SVN version Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Atrus (gmatrus) Summary: Windows uninstall leaves files behind Initial Comment: Using SVN240 on Windows XP Home, SP2. Steps to reproduce - Install Synfig Core, install Synfig studio. Uninstall synfig studio, uninstall synfig core, selecting uninstall all options. Only the examples directory is completely removed. Much of the file structure remains. 3 dlls remain in .../synfig/bin, one cfg file in /etc, multiple files in share/pixmaps ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: PXEGeek (pxegeek) Date: 2007-04-07 22:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1763308 Originator: NO My profound apologies. I had downloaded 426, but was still testing with 421. Installing and uninstalling 426 left the 4 lock keyframe icons and the sif icon - left over from the 421 install. A clean install and uninstall does indeed remove all the files and directories (assuming I don't have them open at the time). 426 is missing the lock keyframe icons, but I think I as you mention that in the IRC logs. My apologies - please close this bug, Chris ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: PXEGeek (pxegeek) Date: 2007-04-07 13:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1763308 Originator: NO My profound apologies. Pxegeek, did you uninstall and remove \program files\synfig directory before install #426 build? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Paul Wise (pabs3) Date: 2007-04-06 21:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=35028 Originator: NO According to pxegeek, the r426 build still doesn't uninstall share/pixmaps stuff. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Atrus (gmatrus) Date: 2007-04-06 02:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1627997 Originator: NO Fixed for revision higer than 426. I have all patches for clean uninstall and send it immediatelly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Atrus (gmatrus) Date: 2007-04-06 02:02 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1627997 Originator: NO Confirmed as still a problem in the latest SVN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Atrus (gmatrus) Date: 2007-03-07 02:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1627997 Originator: NO Yes, I know about that. I'm checking now, which libraries are really required to distribution. Properly uninstalling images has it's own hardship, but I place it into my todo and search the good solution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Paul Wise (pabs3) Date: 2007-03-06 23:07 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=35028 Originator: NO Atrus, could you take a look at this please? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=757416&aid=1673269&group_id=144022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
