Here's one way. It's cumbersome, but it bypasses the whole AppleTalk/TCP
jungle, and it works.

I have OS 6.0.8 on my Classic, and 10.3.9 on my G4 PowerBook. The Classic
is connected to the (text-only) Internet by a shell account and Version
1.0.1 of the terminal emulator program ZTerm with a 14.4k modem. The PBG4
uses version 1.1 of Zterm and its internal 56k modem. To transfer files
back and forth, I upload them to the same BBS from one computer and
download them to the other. File size is limited to about 800 k, and I
have to stuff and bin-hex them and so on, but since the file sizes are
small, the transfer times are only a few seconds. Best to wait till the
end of your day's computing and move things all at one time.

I'm not recommending this to anyone, but at the moment I have no way of
connecting the Classic and the PowerBook physically, so this contraption
does the job. And it's a hoot to retrofy Panther a bit...
