As far as the towers are concerned, anything goes.  I've seen cases 
during a rapid network build where they have put the antennaes in a 
tree temporarally, so the 300 ft tower would be fine.  We put them on 
rooftops, any size tower 100 to 600 ft tall and even tunnels.
