Had to be something wrong with your MDA.

I'm on the phone at least 2hrs a day, BT on all the time, grabbing  
mail for at least 5 mins using GPRS every 30mins, use the PDA  
functions for about 30mins during the day and have yet to see the  
battery drop below 70%.  I'm in rural Maine most of the time with  
crappy signals on 850MHz so you can bet that the phone is running  
full power most of the time too.
