Shawn,
I am one of those that uses both Cingular and T-Mobile. T-Mobile is
my personal service, and I am forced to used Cingular at work. The
difference is night and day (in terms of Customer Service). Not only that,
but in my area, it seems that T-Mobile has the better coverage, or at least
not as many problems with their cell sites. I compare this on a daily basis.
My company is now switching over to Verizon, who has the best coverage in my
area (Northeast USA). Plus, the deal we are getting over Cingular is a very
good one. I'll agree w/ you that Cingular customer service is brutal, and
that's on more than one occasion. They're definitely not "raising the bar"
in my area.
Gil

Of the large nation wide Wireless services, T-mobile has the best prices,
and they also have impressive coverage. I invite you to go to
verizonwireless.com and look at their coverage in Minnesota (where I live,
its just a large noticable difference) and then go to T-mobile.com and look
at their coverage. T-mobile Customer Care is some of the best in the
buisness. I have found that when T-mo Customers have a problem with the
Customer Care, it is because they are just plain stupid. Too stupid to
realize, if they mail the bill the day it is due, it wont get there, or if
they cancel, then they have to pay extra. Cingular Customer Care is some of
the worst in the buisness. Anyone that is going to argue with me, should try
having both Cingular and T-mobile, and contacting both Customer Services
departments a few times. There is a VERY noticable difference.
Oh, and prices, T-mobile is obviusly cheeper, thats just a plus right there.
The only reason that I can see people would pick Cingular over T-mobile is
the extensive advertising that Cingular does to make themselves look better.
