Well..if I have my SK3 with me...actually...I am getting my emails. BUT...if I was ableto use as a modem in my laptop...I may be able to open up real websites.
Some sites are adapted for mobile...most are not... Recently I needed to make a holiday inn change...tried on the sk3 webbrowser. Forget it.... That is a great way to get your e-mail while on the go. I personally just use my GC89. I did not know you were using it as a modem. I don't think the sk3 can be used as a modem.. I finally got a T-Mo tech who gave me some info that worked for me. Here is my situation. I am using my Samsung T509 as a modem with my laptop to access the internet with the $29.99 unlimited data plan when I travel. I also use Outlook Express on my laptop and am able to receive my incoming email just fine from my RR provider. But I can't send email from my laptop using Outlook Express when using T-MO as a modem. Very frustrating. I tried just changing the SMTP setting to myemail.t-mobile.com - didn't work. Well a TS rep named Andrew finally told me what to do. First you have to get online with T-Mo and enter your email details after clicking set up my email. Then when you setup Outlook (or revise it) you have to enter your phone #:1 and use your IP password. Your POP and SMTP is myemail.t-mobile.com with secure authentication checked for outgoing. What this does is routes all your email through T-Mo - in other words say you are traveling - you can use a wifi connection or the phone as a modem and if you are at home (like I am now) use RR and all your email will be received and sent. I hope this make sense to anyone who had to do this. I'm not keen on the idea but it works.
