But in our case, the list below was all of the numbers. From what I understood with the other acquired companies, you could dial your own NXX-9999 (or whatever). With PTEL, you dialed the number associated with the switch. For example, many Atlanta GA numbers actually used the Chattanooga TN number. Memphis TN customers used the Tupelo MS number, and so forth. You could only dial the one designated number; and once in your mailbox, could only send or forward voicemails to others who were housed on the same switch (404-429 could access their mailbox and send a message to a 404-428 user, for example, but not to a 404-384 user).
