Hey Glen, I'm a bit confused and I appreciate you responding to my question. I called T-Mo prepaid and they said I cannot use my Samsung T509 tethered to a laptop with a prepaid card for data. They said the prepaid cards can be switched over to that $1 a day using a Sidekick. I really don't want to buy a Sidekick. I simply want to be able to use my prepaid minutes with a data plan - (actually for my husband) using my Samsung T509 as a modem. Is anyone out there using a prepaid card and their phone as a modem to get online for a dollar a day? DonnaB I've heard mixed results with people using a proxy to access the web other than the basic T-Zones, but from what I've heard it works for some but not all. If you have prepaid you can use Sidekick but you need to have customer care make changes to your account. With prepaid sidekick you can do unlimited email, web surf and unlimited domestic IM. It is $1 per day even on days when you may not use the service. Voice calls are 15ยข/minute for all denominations of PINs/card values.
