Hi Matthew,
I don't plan on cancelling my new line of service I signed up for to get the
Side Kick for $49.99 after rebate. I just plan on switching the sim it comes
with to a regular phone and the prepaid sim that is in that phone to the Side
Kick. Like you say I didn't have to sign up for the data plan when I added the
line. Are you saying that to switch a prepaid sim account to a Sidekick plan
the balance on the prepaid sim HAS to be under $10? Holy smokes - I was not
told that when I called T-MO prepaid customer service. Also I just assumed a
Side Kick Sim would work in a regular phone (to use on the family plan for
regular phone calls) I hope I am right! In other words the sims are not
different are they? DonnaB

T-Mobile is not going to let you keep the SK at that price. If you
cancel the new line of service you'll be charged a EFT plus be charged
the full retail price of the phone if you do not return it.

If you keep the line you don't have to have SK plan on that line if
you just kept it and could use a Prepaid sim in it.

To switch to SK prepaid plans the balance needs to be under $10 last I knew.
