Is anyone going to get a G1? I'm a bit confused from what I read on the website. If any of you know the answers please respond! 1. I have a family plan and may want to get the phone for my grandson but his contract isn't up till next year whereas my phone is out of contract now. Would I be able to order for my phone number and extend the contract 2 years and then switch out sims with his phone after notifying T-Mo to change the data service to his number? 2. I'm confused on the wifi feature of it. I know you connect to the internet via Edge or the new G3 or whatever it is called. What is the wifi for - if you don't have T-Mo coverage but do have wifi you can get online that way or can you pick and choose which is faster? 3. Or is the wifi coverage for making phone calls and not using your minutes and included as part of the data plan? 4. So if you have unlimited text on your family plan that means you are paying twice for text messages right since text messages are part of the data plan cost? 5. I know you cannot tether it to a laptop and use it as a modem which is basically what I do with my phone when we travel - I don't suppose there would be any way to get around that? Thanks for any insight. Donna Becker
