I am crossing my fingers that the Nokia 5800 will come to T-mobile next year
with support for T-Mob 3G, but who knows?

For the same reason they don't carry a lot of phones, someone on the exec
board apparantly likes the crappy phones they've been carrying for the
longest time. I'm bet its actually because Samsung and Motorola will
customize their handsets to T-Mobile's liking and Palm won't.

Does anyone happen to know why T-mobile does not carry Palm devices? When
I first moved to T-mobile, I was hoping to shop for a Treo, but discovered
they weren't in the lineup. I'm just curious.
