Centros and Treos are selling well on other carriers. My reasoning for wanting 
one, though, was that the Palm OS interfaces well with Linux. RIM still doesn't 
provide Linux support for backing up Blackberries. Some software, such as Barry 
exists, but nothing like the Desktop manager.

 From what I've read Palm is way behind most other handset  
manufacturers for smart phones.  I've heard people say that the OS is  
very outdated.
