** This is the quasi-official and semi-temporary T13 email list server. ** It seems to me that if a device is an ATAPI device and it executes a DEVICE RESET it should be restricted to placing only values 00H to 7FH into the Error register. This should be true when the device is device 0 or device 1. In other words: since DEVICE RESET does not perform the DASP/PDIAG handshake then device 0 has no reason to place the values 80H to FFH into the Error register signature values. Should a another note be added to the table of Diagnostic codes in the description of the EXECUTE DEVICE DIAGNOSTICS command? *** Hale Landis *** [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** *** Niwot, CO USA *** www.ata-atapi.com *** -- If you have any questions or wish to unsubscribe send a message to Hale Landis, [EMAIL PROTECTED] To post to this list server send your message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For questions concerning Thistle Grove Industries or TGI's list services please send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
