Still enjoy reading on the list, but now have a question.
Could you all share, please.
1) Have you used wool for TW?
2) What type (of each), and source of material?
Our next "class" in our TW group will involve Icelandic Double Weave.
We do not suggest specific fibers for a teaching session, but would like
to have some suggestions as to possible fibers for further projects.
And April 8th is coming up. (Janis, I'm doing no better at getting
organized).
Philippe, could you give us some expert advice as to the wools used in
Iceland, beyond (?) Icelandic sheep. # of plys, etc. We probably could
get some here in the US....Actually I have in my stash a number of
skeins
which I was able to purchase on a "long weekend shopping tour" of
R...., the capital which I cannot spell today, and the surrounding
areas.
Your country is absolutely beautiful and I would love to go back.
Linda, I hope that your class does fill at John Campbell, but will
mention again that
she is teaching at MidWest Conference in early June. St. Louis area,
Edwardsville
campus of Southern Illinois Univ.
Thanks in advance. Margaret (from central Illinois)
