It depends on how tight you weave and what pattern you are weaving and how you
weave it. If that makes sence.

I normally loose one foot to every five feet of weaving. I also add on one foot
for both front and back (although most of the wastage is at the back/end). So
if I wished to weave a ten foot piece I would require a warp length of fourteen
feet.

Since I do a number of one directional pieces with no reversals I cut all my
lengths so they can be untangled at the other end, so I don't have to calculate
for any twist. Years ago I measured a lenght of warp and then wove as far as I
could to work it out so you could try doing that.
