Ruth,

I can't vouch for any of the others - but I found that
to get what I wanted, I had to make up my own. I
wanted several old-style alphabets, like Gothic
Textura and Littera Bastarda, and they just aren't
available. Linda H. is working on a great project
called "Please Weave a Message" - check out her site

The Textura Quadrata alphabet is one that I worked up,
and Linda has refined for regularity.

If you decide to work with cross-stitch, you will
probably want to translate the graph on paper first -
the long double-face "pixels" don't readily adapt to
the square cross-stitch pixels. I use a program
called PatternMaker, which was originally designed for
cross-stitch, but you can adapt the shape of the
"stitch" so that the fabric is elongated.
