Sponsored by TWIST - Tablet Weavers International Studies & Techniques Howdy!
I've been busy lately on a special piece of trim in 3/1 twill. Now that it has been delivered, I don't have to keep the associated secret any more and can freely share with you all. I used my wooden tablets for the first time (after selling several hundred of them...go figure). It was also my first time weaving with silk. I'm spoiled. The tablets were usefully stiffer than playing card stock, and the silk was so smooth. Even unweaving mistakes went easier. http://www.radix.net/~herveus/rabbit.html has pictures and some discussion. The patterns will come along in a bit, including the .gtt files. Oh, and congratulations to Margret Everskaya (Becky Day) for her elevation to the Order of the Laurel (big time Arts/Science recognition in the SCA, for those who might be puzzled). yours, Herveus/Michael -- Michael and MJ Houghton | Herveus d'Ormonde and Megan O'Donnelly [EMAIL PROTECTED] | White Wolf and the Phoenix Bowie, MD, USA | Tablet and Inkle bands, and other stuff | http://www.radix.net/~herveus/ Send private reply to Michael Houghton <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop receiving tabletweaving (not tabletweaving-digest), send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: unsubscribe tabletweaving.
