So the band was kept for 400 years to become part of a 12th Century mitre? That's amazing. And where was the mitre from? Is it from Switzerland? It's hard to kill a brocaded TW band, so they were often recycled and
found on later garments. And yes, I believe the mitre was Swiss, at least
in that general area of the world.
