I started doing this using cotton carpet warp, progressing to perle cotton and now Opera and Cebelia 10 and 20 crochet cottons, which look amazing, though the color range is limited. Fortunately, I have a lot of experience in dyeing, and am raring to to on that. BTW, does anyone have a source for Cebelia or Opera on cones?
