Rather than using the tag guidepost, I think it would be better to label the node as an intersection and then use "ref":"NS3" to label the reference for the intersection.
Looking at the site you included, http://hiking.lonvia.de/en/help/rendering, it appears they use name or reference to refer to the name of the guidepost itself. In the situation you are tagging the name applies to the intersection and not the sign. The most appropriate tag I could find for an intersection is junction: "junction":"yes" "ref":"NS3" http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:junction Dave On Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 2:41 PM, SomeoneElse <[email protected]> wrote: > Lars Ahlzen wrote: >> >> >> Rendering these would be nice indeed, ... > > > On the rendering front, doesn't Lonvia's hiking map render > information=guidepost as part of a route? > > http://hiking.lonvia.de/en/?zoom=9&lat=42.45312&lon=-72.28842&route=1 > http://hiking.lonvia.de/en/help/rendering > > Cheers, > Andy > > > > _______________________________________________ > Tagging mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging _______________________________________________ Tagging mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/tagging
