After the recent discussion nursing homes, there is a similar situation with retirement_homes.
I suggest to introduce a new tag social_facility=retirement_home for these. Currently, there are examples on this page: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:social_facility#Examples suggesting that retirement homes should be tagged as group homes. This doesn't seem right, as social_facility=group_home suggests a group home, not a retirement home. See also: https://xkcd.com/703/ The "old" page for retirement homes suggests even another combination, assisted_living. This doesn't sound right either, as it is a tag for assisted living. http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dretirement_home See also the xkcd above. If there aren't any protests in the next days, I suggest to add a new value (retirement_home) to the social_facility key, and to change the amenity=retirement_home and key:social_facility pages accordingly.
