What about e.g.: landuse=public_green? It could be also extended
by tags like trees=yes, scrub=yes or public_green=grass /
public_green=flowers.
One more thing: Should we use landuse there? As these areas are
usually inside of landuse=residental? Maybe use leisure=public_green
instead?
I would suggest to use landcover=grass
