Hi, we've been asked privately to include a text web browser (lynx, w3m...) in Tails. I personally don't think the limited usecase is worth the time we would have to spend to make sure this additional HTTP client doesn't leak what it should not, so IMHO this is a no. Also, such clients are generally small enough that someone who really wants to use them (and take the risk / responsibility) can install it themselves.
