I dont know, maybe you all have some special bridge nodes that are configured to work with tails, maybe i got unlucky and every bridge node i tried spontaneously crashed right before i went to use it on tails. Either way as another poster here just brought up you shouldnt have to restart the whole damn OS just because tails cant connect to a bridge, you should be able to cancel out of it, but this goes along the line of the old-as-tails bug the developers continue to ignore, the one where if your internet/vpn is down at the time of connection and it tries to syncronize it will hang permanently, even if the internet comes back up and you reconnect, this also requires a reboot. I sure as hell dont have this happen in windows. This is painfully evident when you attempt to reboot and the shutdown code reads:
Terminating all processes......
