gcc-4.8 isn't available in Debian Wheezy, so that's going to be hard. Two experienced Debian developers I know have tried backporting it to Wheezy, and gave up. > I need the linux-headers package so I can install broadcom-sta-dkms. > I need broadcom-sta-dkms so that I can get WiFi working on my Macbook Air. Frankly, it looks like you're going to spend a lot of time on a solution that will work only for you, and that will require manual work from you regularly. A better solution, that's going to work for every Tails user, and require to do work *once*, is in the works: https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/7798 https://bugs.debian.org/748679 https://bugs.debian.org/749109 All needed changes are now part of Debian Jessie, so it should be quite easy to first add support for building broadcom-sta-dkms in the Tails feature/jessie branch (I'm currently testing this locally), and then either: * either we can use live-{boot,config} 4.x in Tails/Wheezy, and pull broadcom-sta-dkms from Jessie or put it in wheezy-backports; * or we focus on releasing Tails/Jessie ASAP.
