Thanks! I think I understood the root cause of the problem: config/chroot_local-hooks/80-block-network doesn't add "wl" to the blacklist, which leads to unspecified behaviour (to put it mildly). Now testing a potential fix (commit 559e900), I'll point you folks to a new ISO once I've confirmed it has chances to work for you.
