Just being a pedant right now
is the parking area an expansion of the road?
or has it an edge which is defined by a concrete barrier or a gutter?
To make those parking areas as in your example I've drawn in a loop road and 
labelled it parking which then provides an area. And it wasn't really the 
truth. I can't provide one at present but I know I've been guilty.
