Anyone with any experience Hume and Hovel Walking Track?
I did the original entry of the section from Yass through Wee Jasper to
Brindabella Road years ago. The data came from my Garmin 60 CSx
handheld GPS.
My 60 Cx is still going ... not buy another until this one gives up.
Trying to rig up a solar charger for it - charges the AA batteries
within the unit and provides power to the unit.
This way I don't have to carry around a AA battery charger nor extra
batteries.
May not fully charge the batteries but good enough for me - a simple
system.
Some areas had heavy tree cover, and cliffs nearby. So the accuracy
might have blown out to ± 10 metres in a few places.
I'd no be worried by 10 m ... the differences are ~100 metres in places.
Might be more in some places too .. have not been measuring .. just
concerned at the differences.
It could be as simple as running off a map and going a bit off the
official course as 'it looks better'.
That section shows up on the hiking map here:

Someone else did the work south from Brindabella Road.
Tried contacting them .. no response as yet.
