Ballina to Newcastle? In general it's a bit vague as to what an Australian "motorway" is. In a rural area dual carriageway and a 110 km/h speed limit is most likely to be a candidate. It gets a bit tricky on the Pacfic Hwy because some dual carriageway sections have a 100 km/h speed limit. Do we downgrade these to trunk or accept that they are of the same standard as the rest of the road and call them motorway?
