Those kind of attribution terms are (imo) too conservative considering that they can be applicable for old-school "spreadsheets-like" datawiz , but can't definitively not be applicable to geospatial data.
How do you manage the crowdsourcing of data in a single place, while zooming in and out? -traffic lights, hydrants, maxspeeds coming from municipality, -natural parcs, main roads names, leisure parcs from provincial -highways, rivers, woods from federal Attribution with the tag [source="xxxxxx"] should be the standard (and this is the case in many many others countries in the world.....). This is a little bit disapointing.... cheers, Bruno 2015-10-11 20:42 GMT-04:00 john whelan <[email protected]>: > > I thought I read on this list in the past that OSM had permission > directly from NRCan to use the CanVec data. > > That permission was given before the change of license and upload clause. > > Cheerio John > > On 11 October 2015 at 20:19, Bernie Connors <[email protected]> > wrote: > >> I thought I read on this list in the past that OSM had permission >> directly from NRCan to use the CanVec data. >> >> Bernie. >> >> BTW, the GeoNB Open Data Licence in New Brunswick is more permissive with >> its attribution clause.
