They are talking about importing GeoBase - which is exactly the same content that is found in Canvec since Canvec is the merging of GeoBase layers. If you look at the date (November 2008), the import mailing list even did not exist. We can go that way but I do not think it the point here. We must talk about deleting data that was imported in good faith, without leaving the community enough time to correct them.
