(mostly useless comment...) I have a good mind to wire up an Arduino <http://www.arduino.cc/> to a microswitch and a network adaptor to change the tagging on OSM every time I open/close my driveway gate.
This does however bring up the point that these factors can be quite volitile, and that it may be imposible to survey somthing acuratly if it's so apt to change regularly.
