In order to integrate such data I would add that: 

 

1.       Each townland has a unique numeric iD (save for small island
townlands) this is required for statistical cross referencing.

2.       Only one set of per townland population data was published, that
was in 2015 and refers to 2011 census data. You will find them here grouped
by county.

starting with Carlow CD150 . However the townland iD numbers are not
present. 

 

3.       In the case of NI you can request the data for 2011. Keep it simple
like number of persons, number of households townland and townland id
number.  Nothing else for privacy reasons.
