I've had occasional contact with someone in Translink, giving them mapping
tips when they were tasked with mapping some transport elements. They've
been in touch again recently with the following request for info. Is there
anywhere or anyone in particular that I could direct them? It's rather out
of my field of knowledge.

I know as well as the various administrative boundaries mapped in OSM
there's also all sorts of datasets available from source, if you know the
right places (ArcGIS, SpatialNI etc), but I've no idea about the use of
them, licensing contacts and so on. Could someone give me a shout if you
know a good place to direct them for advice? Even the right contacts in the
south, because that might inform whom to approach in the north. So far
they've been friendly and very appreciative of being shown the basics of
OSM mapping, etiquette and so on.

Regards all.
