Hi,

County boundaries (admin_level = 6) have been tagged as boundary = historic in
Northern Ireland, which can be problematic.

It seems that only two local councils (formed circa 2015; admin_level = 7) are
mapped (Fermanagh & Omagh District Council; and Newry, Mourne & Down District
Council). It should be possible to determine the other boundaries.

The Royal Mail postcode database is useful, but it creates odd-looking (but
correct) journey planner results.

Anne-Karoline Distel did certain boundary-related mapping.

There is the PlacenamesNI project placenamesni.org in QUB, but I think they
lost their funding. Frances Kane should be able to answer certain things.

I have a lot of experience with the NTA journey planner, which uses similar
data if that is of any interest. If you wish, you can share my details with
your contact.

Colm
