Before using OSM data in an application or as an integrated part in another geographic database we have to consider the licence issues. Below are some guidelines of how you are allowed to use OSM data under the ODbL license. 1) Are you allowed to create a paper or raster map (rendered geographic data) where you mix OSM data with your own data? If so, how do have to state that you are using OSM data? 2) Are you allowed to use OSM data in your geographic database where you mix OSM data with your own data? If so, can you keep the license of your own database or do you have to release your database under a certain license?
