a better deal?" said Patrick, who couldn't quite keep the amusement out of

"Oh, sure!" replied Matthew.  "And if it weren't a competition company in 
the first place, and I were offered more money, I'd take it.  Now although I 
can't say what I'd do in the other event, I'd take a random guess and say I 
wouldn't - the embarrassment would kill me even better than suicide!"

"You're boring." shot back Patrick, as if he couldn't think of something to 
add.

"Oh, yeah, as if I don't know that," laughed Matthew.  "But I've done quite 
a lot so far in my boring life, even if it is boring to most people, so..."
