Agreed.
One thing they are nice for is the fact that, at least the winkey blinkey 
ones, have no moniters of any sort; and no moving parts, so nice battery 
life.
Even the braille lites, with braille displays active constantly, could give 
30 or so hours between charges.

note takers are good if you want to do sertain things.
However codefact.com has software that will allow you to use a
standard handheld pocket pc and pocket hal is around also.
Those note takers do have their place, but yeah I can do more on this 
laptop.
