Huh? The current version of Miranda is 0.5.1, so how could you have possibly installed version 3? I don't bother with the scripts, because they really don't do much, and they're basically broke. To fix the issue of trunkated screen names on your contact list, you need to make the contact list font size smaller, and resize the window horrizontally. You only have to do this once, though. As for the contact list to system tray thing, I kinda like it that way. It works like the old ICQ client does. By default, you have the hotkeys control+shift+a to show or hide the window, and control+shift+i to read an incoming message. These are all configurable, of course. If you want more flexibility for sounds, look at some of the status and event plugins for miranda, found on the addons site. I use a couple of different ones for this, mainly notifier and something called StatusChange.dll, the proper name of which I've forgotten. It integrates with the contact details, so you can assign contact specific messaging and status sounds, and it also replaces the default Miranda sound plugin, adding more events to assign sounds to other than just online notification. -- -- Patrick Perdue (MCP, CNA) KE4DYI Greensboro, NC website: http://www.pdaudio.net home: +1(828)221-2971 Mobile phone and SMS: +1(336)509-5583 e-mail and .net messenger: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -------------------- For anything related to the yamaha motif line of keyboards and modules, subscribe to the motif-help mailing list by sending a blank message to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> This message originally sent in reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] on Wednesday, October 04, 2006 at 12:57 AM EST.
