Hey, to get rid of the timestamps. go to preferences and then message log.
I like my timestamps on, lol.
In message log, there are a whole bunch of other things you can uncheck or 
check depending on what you want to see in a conversation window, you can 
uncheck names for example.

How do you resize the window horizontally? Is that in the miranda options?
