TO resize the Miranda window, go to the system menu with Alt+Space and choose size. At this point, pressing the right arrow repeatedly should widen the Miranda window. When finished, press enter. To get rid of time stamps, uncheck the "show timestamp" option under the message log settings in Miranda options.
