The following statement is not an exaggeration, as those who know me well will back me up. When one of our dogs has gotten ran over, shot, killed in some other way, or has just left for no obvious reason, we just wait till the next stray shows up and feed it if we like it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maria L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "talk2" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2006 7:19 PM Subject: Re: The Talk2 List Copy-cat cloning firm turns tail
But think about it. The little old lady and the puppy owner could go to one of the millions of animal shelters all over the country and adopt a new fluffy friend. These could either be ten times as annoyhing as their previous incarnations, or they could become the new baby of the family. Either way, the shelters win. Sorry, I'm just so sick of shelter ads pleading with people to adopt pets. Either people need to learn to neuter their pets or they need to come out with animal contraception. Something. Urgh! Rant over. PS and yes, I speak from personal experience. My friend in high school was heavily involved with the shelters, and her family always had at least 12 pets. When I first met her there were 16 dogs living at her house. Let's just say sleepovers were not nice. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Venison88a" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "talk2" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 26, 2006 0:07 Subject: Re: The Talk2 List Copy-cat cloning firm turns tail > >Rather than spending millions of dollars on developing a technology with > >no redeeming social purpose > > No purpose?
