I use .csv files all the time and if you put a space comma true (
,true) after your data element in your actions window then it will work
fine. Mine looks like this:

Enter D("ACCT NBR" ,true) '4.07E+08

Subject: [talkbws] Working with CSV files

I've noticed that CSV files, when opened, will modify the displayed
value to a more simplified value. For example 4409354237 will display as
4.41E+09 and 05/02/1999 will display as 5/2/1999. Occasionally long
values will display as ########. When using Datastation it uses the
displayed value instead of the raw value. I thought that putting quotes
around each value in the file would force it to treat everything as text
but no luck. I can do a workaround but I am hopeful that there is an
Excel setting that I can use instead.
