When I am writing an email, and the tone comes on that tells me I got mail,
it interrupts my message and I have to get out and start all over again,
because I can't read what I wrote, or anything. Pam.

I have seen this occur in all versions of WE. You've already received
some good explanations.
Some new info comes to your pc; and it is spoken. I have had this occur
with a new internet wifi connection popping up at a neighboring location;
and even a screen refresh.
